Languages skills for Codex
Language-level skills that make Codex write idiomatic code instead of translated code: typed Python with uv, strict TypeScript and hard type errors, Go concurrency, Rust ownership and async, modern Java and Kotlin, Swift 6 concurrency, C# 13, Ruby, PHP 8, Elixir, C++23, Zig and safe shell scripting.
curl -fsSL codexskills.dev/install.sh | sh -s -- --category languages Installs all 42 into ~/.agents/skills/. Or download the zip.

Where to start
Install the ones that match requests you make every week. Name one with $cmake-builds when you want it for sure; otherwise Codex picks by description.
Start with
- CMake BuildsTarget-based CMake that configures the same everywhere
- Rust Tokio AsyncTasks that start, stop and cancel on purpose
- TypeScript Type ErrorsDecode the error, fix the cause, skip the any
Install a few by name
curl -fsSL codexskills.dev/install.sh | sh -s -- bash-scripting c-memory-safety 104-line POSIX script. No sudo, no telemetry. Read install.sh
Languages FAQ
How do I install every Languages skill at once?
Run curl -fsSL https://codexskills.dev/install.sh | sh -s -- --category languages to put all 42 in ~/.agents/skills/, or add --project to install them into the current repository's .agents/skills/. You can also download the category zip and unpack it yourself.
Does installing 42 skills slow Codex down?
Hardly. At startup Codex sees only each skill's name and description, a few dozen words apiece, and reads a full SKILL.md only when a task needs it. Install the whole category if the work fits; unused skills cost almost nothing.
Which Languages skill should I start with?
Start with CMake Builds, Rust Tokio Async, TypeScript Type Errors. They cover the requests that come up most in this category. Mention one with $cmake-builds to try it.
